#91 Finish 2012 Block of the Month Quilt

I am excellent at starting sewing projects, but not always excellent at finishing them.  However, this is an exception.  I finished the 2012 Block of the Month Quilt 8 days into 2013... you heard that right... 8 days.  I will give it to my mom to quilt and then need to add the binding, but I am done with the top.  I liked this quilt because it is something different than I normally pick, but I like the fun patterns of the 30's reproduction fabric.  Ignore the mirrored reflection of it on the headboard:

#19 Finish 2011 Block of the Month Quilt

As I stated in a previous post, I am EXCELLENT at starting quilting projects, but not great at finishing them.  When I started this list of 101 Things in 1001 Days, I had 3 Block of the Month Quilts to finish (plus, I'm doing one in 2012) and I have another major quilting project on the table, so to speak.  Anyhow, today I finished the 2011 Block of the Month quilt.  I am more pleased with it than I was when I added the pink in between the blocks, but I really wished I had picked the dark green to put in between the individual blocks.  Oh well, what can you do at this point?  Nothing :(  Here are the pictures of the whole quilt and then the top and bottom in a little bit more detail.

#18 Complete 2010 Block of the Month Quilt- FINISHED

I LOVE to start sewing projects but I do not always finish them.  This is especially true with Block of the Month Clubs.  I have one from 2009, 2010, and 2011 that still need to be completed.  In addition, I am in another one for 2012 :)

I get the individual blocks finished but often I don't get the setting done.  I knew when I was coming up with my list of 101 things to accomplish, that finishing these quilts had to be on there.  That was one of the great things about getting my craft closet cleaned out... it made it easier for me to work down there and get started on these other projects :)

Anyhow, today, I was determined to finish one of them.  I finished the quilt for the 2010 Block of the Month.  I LOVE these colors and am very pleased with the overall look of the quilt.  I was never given the directions for finishing this quilt, so the outside border had to be tweaked a little bit.  One of the things I love about quilting is all of the math that I get to use when I am doing it.  It's the little things :)

Now, onto the 2011 quilt...
