We're Not in Kansas Anymore...

So, Friday night, we got a call from my Mother-in-law who said the news said "If you live in the city of Suwanee...go to the basement NOW."  We watch the news regularly during storms on both the Internet and television.  We head to the basement when it is necessary, but we have NEVER had to wake the boys up to move them to the basement.  Now, keep in mind, my two youngest go to bed at 6 PM, so waking them up at 10 means they have been asleep for 4 hours, so they feel pretty rested when they wake up.  We are always TERRIFIED they will not go back to sleep.  Anyhow... here are some of the pictures from our night in the basement where they were curled up on the couch together being super sweet.   All my math friends... yes, HAS is covered up with a unit circle blanket :)

We carried them back upstairs 30 minutes later and they fell right to sleep :)  That was a relief.

  1. Your basement looks so much comfier than our basement. And 6pm? What time do they wake up? CAM could go to bed at 2am and wake up at 6am ready to go! She definitely inherited Mick's genes on that... I could sleep 20 hours and still be tired.

  2. Well, we were in the TV room... near a window, (which we shouldn't have been)... but as we are watching 3 different news reports and it is getting closer, then we move to our Uncomfy spot, under the stairs. HAS is like CAM... He wakes up EVERY morning between 5 AM and 6:30 AM. It doesn't matter if we move his bedtime back, then he just wakes up a little crankier. LPS on the other hand, LOVES his sleep. 14 hours at night and a 2 hour nap!
